I hope you had a fabulous Easter as well! And I'm glad you're enjoying my posts. ;-)
Regarding your question, I love a challenge like this. One question, this raven-haired beauty you speak of (if it isn't you), what is her astrological sign? That will help refine my choices. Also, any particular notes she can't wear? Or that she favors considerably?
You are very perceptive.. LOL..Right, it is me. I am a Scorpio and the only perfume I can think of that I cannot wear is Sicily by Dolce and Gabbana..it just does not smell like anything on me.. also, I tend to lean toward Chypre's, florientals-- I also like woody/floral scents. btw I cannot stand the original Poison by dior. It gives me a nasty headache. thank you!@!
You are most certainly in the right ballpark with your choices! Chypres would be great on you, as well as narcotic, seductive florals like tuberose and jasmine. Florientals would be perfect! So a few off the top of my head: for some reason Chanel Allure keeps coming up for me. I'm not certain if you have worn or like this one, but it is stunning on the right lady and it fits you. For niche, D'Orsay Femme de Dandy most definitely, Frederic Malle Carnal Flower, Caron Narcisse Noir (just a dab of the perfume) would all be worth testing for you. I also wonder how Estee Lauder Tuberose Gardenia would smell on you! I hope this gives you plenty of ideas. I'll come up with more, the more I think about it I'm sure. :-)
I knew I would think of more. I few incredible chypres to try: Chanel 31 Rue Cambon (at Chanel boutiques), Neil Morris Gothe, and Guerlain Chant d'Aromes. Let me know what you find!
thank you, i think that the Chanel 31 and allure will be really good fits. I dont really enjoy Gardenia as it reminds me of Tennessee Williams plays.. but, i am willing to try the Estee Lauder... the Guerlain and the Caron will also be tested soon. thank you so much for your advice..
Thanks for visiting! Since I was a young girl I have happily indulged my sense of smell. Peering through old drawings and gifts for my mother, perfume always held front and center. And that holds true today. Lately, this innate love for stellar scent has been groomed by my fellowship of fragrance lovers and I am so grateful to find a clan in which I truly feel at home.
While I do believe some can find a signature scent, I have never found one fragrance to satisfy my insatiable sense of smell. I spontanteously and continually long to experience every fragrance I can get my hands on. Therefore, this blog began as a means to indulge myself and others.
Today, I hope to share my thoughts, feelings and ideas about some of my favorite, and not so favorite, scents. I invite you to read and enjoy perfume as I do - a hobby, a diversion, a pleasurable treat.

Can I ask you what perfume you would buy if you were dark haired, eyed, pale skin and somewhat close to leaving your 30's????
